About Us

Every day in medical school is a challenge, both academically and socially. The heavy material, the social disconnectivity and the constant worry about the future can really get to you. In response to these challenges, the  idea of O’med began to take shape; a society designed to bridge the academic and social gaps that us and many others are experiencing.
 
Through O’med we sought to create a space where medical students could find guidance not only in their studies but also  in building meaningful connections.

Departments

  • Archivum is a platform were you can find and share notes encompassing all years in medical school, helping students navigate their coursework with practical, tried-and-tested resources.

  • Our community offers students the opportunity to receive practical advice and tips from older medical students who have been through similar challenges and can share valuable insights.

  • We offer research opportunities and mentorship for students, guiding them through narrative reviews, systematic reviews, case reports, and meta-analyses. Our goal is to help students build strong research skills and produce high-quality, publishable work.

  • We recognize the importance of balance, which is why we organize social events where students can take a breather from their studies, connect with peers, and recharge.
